The big Lori news lately is that I got hired a few weeks back to work as a PPCD (preschool program for children with disabilities) teacher in Frisco ISD. It is about the exact same job that I have had in the past when I worked for Plano ISD and even teaching out in Las Vegas.
I signed my contract this past week so everything is official! The school is beautiful . . . there is only one small problem - it is brand new! This means that I have to set up everything for my classroom. Unpacking boxes, moving furniture, sorting materials, putting up bulletin boards, etc . . . it is overwhelming! All this and I can't do too much because I am 32 weeks pregnant!! Ahhh! I need some serious reinforcements over these next three weeks before my Aug. 21 deadline to have my classroom ready for students! Anyone want to volunteer to help? Pretty please?
So if all goes well I will work for about 5 to 6 weeks and then go on maternity leave. I am NOT wishing this baby comes early . . .I have to get as much done as possible.
A bonus is that my school is just a short 8 to 10 min drive from my house. Yay!
Wish me luck. Lots to do and time is a tickin'! I need a personal assistant. Whew!
