Colorado & July Beginnings

Last week we traveled to Colorado Springs, CO for the July 4th holiday and to spend some time with Ryan's family, see Grandpa and Grandma Sue Leavitt, Aunt Carissa, Aunt Suzi and Aunt Jennifer. It was a very nice change of scenery from TX to CO and the drive wasn't too long . . . only 12 hrs. Bethany had a grand time enjoying all the attention and stealing the spot light. We kept busy with fun family activities and adventures.




Miss B LOVED their cat. She followed it around and searched her out every chance she got. Bethany would go around saying "meow, meow, meow, meow . . . " about 100 times and was SO excited. This kid loves animals!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo - Colorado Springs, CO

This was Bethany's first time at the zoo. She had a super fun time. The highlight would have to be seeing the giraffe's. We didn't get a picture of it but did get video of Bethany actually feeding the giraffes some crackers. Bethany wasn't scared at all and handed the food right to their mouths. She learned a new word - GIRAFFE and kept saying it over and over! She also LOVED seeing the monkeys and when we left we bought her a new stuffed monkey animal at the gift shop! In all she saw giraffes, elephants, monkeys, meerkats, hogs and lions.

Garden of the Gods

We took a short walk around some of the Garden of the Gods. It is so nice that it is only minutes from Grandpa and Grandma's house!

The Denver Aquarium

Bethany really enjoyed the aquarium in Denver as well . . .another first time visit. She must have had said "fishie" about a 1000 times while we were there. It was a great time!

We had such a wonderful time visiting, laughing and playing with our Colorado family members. We love you all so much and can't wait to see you again when baby #2 arrives this fall!
